Coach Requirements 2019-2020 - Certification obligatoire

All coaches, managers, and volunteers require Respect in Sport (online course) or Speak Out!
Chaque entraineur, gérant, et bénévole on besoin le cours Respect et Sport ou Dis-le!

All coaches, managers, and volunteers over the age of 18 require a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
 

 Any new minor hockey player will need to have one (1) parent complete the online Respect in Sport Parent Program. The link to this course can be found at www.hnb.ca

Each team must have a Hockey Canada Safety Person. The link to the online HCSP course can be accessed through the Hockey University tab at www.hnb.ca
Chaque équipe doit avoir un représentant qui suivit le formation de la sécurite de Hockey Canada. Le program PSSH se trouve sur le cite web www.hnb.ca sous l’onglet “stage” et ensuite “Universite de hockey”.

All volunteers under the age of 16, as of December 31^st, 2019, who are currently registered on a minor hockey or high school hockey team do not require any coach certifications. These volunteers must wear a helmet with full face shield when volunteering with minor hockey teams.
Tous les bénévoles de moins de 16 ans, après le 31 décembre 2019, qui sont actuellement inscrits dans une équipe de hockey mineur ou de hockey du secondaire n'ont pas besoin de certification d'entraîneur. Ces bénévoles doivent porter un casque avec un écran facial complet lorsqu'ils font du bénévolat avec des équipes de hockey mineur.

All volunteers, bench and on-ice personnel 16 years and older, registered with Hockey New Brunswick, require Speak Out or Respect in Sport. All volunteers, bench staff and on ice helpers 18 years of age and older must have a cleared criminal record check and vulnerable sector check. If they have not submitted a cleared Criminal record check or vulnerable sector check by the required date, they will be deemed ineligible on the team roster and will be unable to participate on the team until they provide a copy of the required documents.
Tous les bénévoles, membres du personnel de banc et membres du personnel sur glace âgés de 16 ans ou plus inscrits auprès de Hockey Nouveau-Brunswick doivent suivre la formation Dis-le ou Respect et sport. Tous les bénévoles, membres du personnel au banc et assistants sur glace agés de 18 ans et plus doivent subir une vérification du casier judiciaire et une vérification des antécédents en vue d’un travail auprès de personnes vulnérables. Si les rapports de vérification ne sont toujours pas soumis à la date requise, ces personnes seront considérées comme étant inadmissibles à figurer à l’alignement de l’équipe et ne pourront participer, à n’importe quel titre, aux activités de l’équipe avant d’avoir soumis une copie des documents exigés.

Definitions:

Coach or Assistant Coach

• A person who is both on the bench during games and is on the ice during practices.

• Entraîneur ou entraîneur adjoint• Une personne qui est sur le banc pendant les jeux et qui est sur la glace pendant les entraînements.

 Trainer

• A person who is on the bench during the games to attend to any injuries. This person is on the bench or in the rink during practices as well - but does not go on the ice at all to help with any practices.

• Entraîneur• Une personne qui est sur le banc pendant les jeux pour assister à des blessures. Cette personne est sur le banc ou sur la patinoire pendant les entraînements aussi, mais elle ne va pas du tout sur la glace pour aider avec les pratiques.

 Manager

• A person who assists with booking ice time, submitting tournament applications, making travel plans, coordinates team budget and acts as a liaison between coaches and parents. This person is permitted to be on the bench during games but does not go on the ice to assist with practices.
• Gérant• C’est une personne qui réserve le temps de glace, soumet les demandes de participation aux tournois, fait les arrangements en vue des déplacements, coordonne les budgets de l’équipe et agit à titre d’agent de

• liaison entre les entraineurs et les parents. Cette personne peut être au banc lors des séances d’entrainement, mais ne va pas sur la glace lors des séances d’entrainement en tant qu’assistant.
  
  On ice volunteer 
  A person who is on the ice during practice to help set up stations and aid in efficient delivery of practice. This person may help move coaching tools, pucks, or players, between stations and drills throughout the practice. On ice volunteers are permitted in the Initiation and Novice divisions. In Atom Peewee, Bantam and Midget, on ice volunteers are only permitted if the team already has a Head Coach and two Assistant Coaches on their roster. On Ice volunteers are not permitted to be on the bench during games.
  
  Sur glace bénévole
  C’est une personne qui est sur la glace lors des séances d’entrainement afin d’aider à préparer les stations et autres afin  que les séances d’entrainement se déroulent efficacement. Cette personne peut aider à déplacer le matériel des entraineurs ou les rondelles et peut guider les joueurs d’une station à l’autre ou durant les exercices. Les bénévoles sur glace sont permis dans les divisions initiation et novice. Les bénévoles sur glace des divisions atome, peewee, bantam et midget ne sont permis que si l’équipe a déjà un entraineur en chef et deux entraineurs adjoints à l’alignement. Les bénévoles sur glace ne doivent pas être au banc lors des matchs.

  ELECTRONIC TRAVEL PERMITS

  Follow these steps to request an electronic travel permit.

  1. Travel Permits can only be created once you are HCR rostered for the current season as a volunteer, manager, coach, or bench staff – contact your local Registrar to ensure this has been completed.

  2. Go to ehockey.hockeycanada.ca – screen looks like this.

  3. If this is your first time at this site – create a member account.

  4. If you already have an account – log in.

  5. Your HOME PAGE will open showing your member information.

  6. on the right hand side of your information – click on VIEW.

  7. Task bar will look like this - select Travel Permits

  8. TEAM TRAVEL will open up showing the teams you are on for the current season – to the right of the team name which is travelling, select Request a New Permit.

  9. This will take you to TEAM TRAVEL PERMIT – complete all information required and at the bottom of the page click on SUBMIT.

  10. In the HCR on your Teams Information Page – the completed Travel Permit will appear.

  11. Whoever approves your roster will get an email to approve the travel permit. Once they approve it, your ehockey.hockeycanada.ca SELECTED TEAM’S TRAVEL PERMIT screen will change as follows: Status – Approved and Actions – Closed
